Netflix’s Cowboy Bebop series may look a lot like the original anime, but just how closely does it follow the source material? Let’s take a deep dive into the live-action series and explore the key scenes, moments, fights, music and individual shots that draw inspiration directly from the anime.

Cowboy Bebop Live-Action Series: Everything We Know So Far

I think it’s time we blow this thing. Get everybody and their stuff together as we jam out to all of the details there are to know about the impending non-animated version of the classic 90s anime series about sad space cowboys who are forever broke and don’t bother none. Come along with us as we push the sky away and go mushroom hunting for the spokiest dokiest casting details on the biggest bounty hunting crew in anime history and find out who from the original series is now making American money. We went digging for potatoes and came back with sweet set pics and the rundown on just who that doggy dog is. No need to go and write it down with your felt tip pen… We’ve got it all in less than seven minutes!

The series stars John Cho, Mustafa Shakir, Daniella Pineda, and Ein the dog as Ein the dog. Christopher Yost serves as showrunner and writer, along with André Nemec and Jeff Pinkner. Alex Garcia Lopez and Michael Katleman are our directors, original series director Shinichirō Watanabe is back as a creative consultant, and original series composer Yoko Kanno has returned to provide us with the coolest of Jazz.

So hey, why are you still here? Go go cactus man and watch! I’m running out of references to the show’s song titles. Tank! The egg and I. Piano Black. I shouldn’t have committed so hard to this bit.
